Join us on Thursday 30 November for our monthly late opening. As well as the chance to view our No Turning Back: Seven Migration Moments that Changed Britain exhibition, meet the Migration Museum team and have a drink, this month’s late opening coincides with the launch of the London Migration Film Festival (LMFF), organised by Migration Collective in partnership with The UN Migration Agency, IOM UK.
The launch of the London Migration Film Festival will take place in the Engine Hall downstairs, featuring performances by Phosphorous Theatre and the Natashas Project, as well as the premiere of Stories Untold, a series of short films featuring London-based migrants, and a singing performance by the New Mixed Up Chorus and Sing for Freedom Choir. Food will be catered by Welcome Kitchen, and the night will end with a dance flashmob organised by Speaker Box Street Party. The London Migration Film Festival runs from 30 November until 5 December at venues across London. Click here for a full programme and more details, or follow LMFF on Facebook and Twitter.
While access to the Migration Museum and our No Turning Back: Seven Migration Moments that Changed Britain exhibition is free, tickets for the London Migration Film Festival launch event cost £6 (plus booking fee), and are available to buy via Eventbrite.
Advance booking for the London Migration Film Festival launch event is essential and tickets are selling fast, so book early to avoid disappointment. No registration is required to attend our No Turning Back exhibition – just turn up on the evening.
Please note that the Migration Museum at The Workshop will be open continuously from 11am–9.30pm on Thursday 30 November. The London Migration Film Festival launch event will begin at 6.30pm.
