About Marc from RUMblin cocktail bar:

“I have been a migrant for most of my adult life. Over the last 30 years, I moved from Trinidad & Tobago to the USA to the British Virgin Islands and lastly to the United Kingdom. Through these travels, I have always found ways to showcase and highlight the positive parts of my culture to those around me.

From Caribbean club nights and parties to founding a travelling Caribbean film festival to launching a Notting Hill carnival band (float), sharing what would be seen as Caribbean cultural good times has always been my focus. Connecting this focus with my personal pursuit of good taste is where Rumblin’ got its genesis .

From cocktails and food pairing events to artisanal cocktail creation and bar service, Rumblin’ is the culmination of my life’s journey as a migrant who just wants to share the best of where he is from with the world!!”

About Kim Chin:

Kim Chin is an artist, facilitator, curator, and community mobiliser using multi-medium engagement as a site for memory making, self-discovery, wellness, and liberation.

Kim explores often overlooked local and global British histories rooted in migration. They look at how different generations decide what customs, traditions and attitudes continue, are negotiated, or rebuffed – and why.

Other influences include environmental and economic justice through creativity and solidarity. Taking an anti-racist, feminist, and neuro divergent affirming lens, Kim has collaborated with fellow artists, community organisations and museums on projects where art-doing (print, textiles, collage) and conversational interaction can be a positive agent of change.
