Always wanted to start charting your family history but don’t know how to begin? Are you curious to explore centuries-old histories and find out how archival records may help your research?
In the first of a series of collaborative events, join record specialists from The National Archives at the Migration Museum and get to know their vast collection of records.
The National Archives team will be hosting a mobile enquiry desk, introducing visitors to migration records, with access to the online catalogue and Ancestry – the UK’s largest family history site. Visitors will also be able to explore a copy of the Empire Windrush Passenger List, one of hundreds of passenger lists in the collection.
This is a free, drop-in event, no prior family history or archival experience is necessary – so come along and say hello to the archive team!
