Richard Scott

Richard Scott, 10th Duke of Buccleuch and 12th Duke of Queensberry KT KBE FSA FRSE is custodian of a number of great historic houses which embrace one of the country’s major private art collections. The heritage and daily lives of his ancestors were especially enriched by their relationship with the 17th-century French Huguenot refugees. Throughout his life he has worked to promote conservation, enjoyment and better understanding of the heritage in all its diversity. For ten years President of the National Trust for Scotland, and  formerly on the board of the  Heritage Lottery Fund, he is currently a Trustee of the Royal Collection Trust and President of the Georgian Group.
