Munira Mirza

Munira is a British political advisor and Chief Executive of Civic Future. She has worked for 20 years in senior positions in government, academia, business and the cultural sectors, including as Director of the No 10 Policy Unit (2019-2022), as Deputy Mayor for Education and Culture, and Executive Director of Culture at King’s College London.

Munira has appeared in a wide range of media and has written extensively about cultural and social policy in the UK, including publishing her book The Politics of Culture: The Case for Universalism (2011). She has served on the boards of the Royal Opera House, Institute of Contemporary Arts, Royal College of Music and the West London Children’s Zone. She is Honorary Professor at the Strategy and Security Institute at Exeter University.
