Join author Kolapo Akinola for a reading from The Bachelor’s Ride, a novel transporting readers from western Nigeria to London, exploring what we’re willing to sacrifice in the search for love.
The Bachelor’s Ride is a compelling quest of one man’s search for love, transporting readers from a childhood in a western part of Nigeria, to a successful career in London, on a journey that deals with sickle cell, and what we’re willing to sacrifice in the search for love.
Kolapo will begin by discussing and introducing some key themes, including sickle cell, love quest from a male perspective, faith and culture.
After a reading from The Bachelor’s Ride, visitors will be invited to have an informal Q&A session with Kolapo about anything sparked from the reading. Visitors will also have an opportunity to purchase the book and have it signed by Kolapo.

About Kolapo Akinola
Kolapo Akinola is a data scientist working for a global technology consulting firm in London. He writes leisurely at night. Born and bred in Ilaro, a small town in Western Nigeria, Kolapo enjoys chasing sunrise and sunset around the globe and while at it, he collaborates with NGOs to promote awareness of sickle cell in the UK and West Africa. The Bachelor’s Ride is his first novel. Kolapo is a big advocate for sickle cell awareness. His work has been featured in the media including radio and TV in the UK and Nigeria.
